Youth Villages is seeking a part-time Educational Aide for its residential programs in Tennessee and Georgia. The programs provide safe, nurturing environments for youth ages 6 to 17 with complex behavioral and mental health challenges. Most youth attend fully accredited schools located on campus, where year-round instruction and small class sizes support individual educational needs. The Educational Aide supports classroom teachers and students through tutoring, academic instruction, learning activities, and reinforcement of classroom knowledge and skills. The role also involves documenting student progress, preparing reports and learning materials, collaborating with school staff, and completing daily documentation in an electronic medical record system. The position pays $23 per hour. The supervision and treatment of youth involves prolonged periods of walking, standing, running, climbing stairs, and physical agility. The aide must be able to participate in physical interventions when necessary and frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally more than 100 pounds. Required training includes Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and CPR, and applicants must pass an agility and strength evaluation and hold a current, valid driver’s license.
