About The Position

The Educational Aide for Digital Media and Graphic Design Technology supports and assists faculty, staff, visitors, and students in the Fine Arts Department. This role provides a professional, helpful, and welcoming atmosphere by greeting, responding to, and directing visitors in-person and over the phone. The aide distributes mail and office supplies, operates and maintains the copier/printer, and accepts, screens, and routes telephone calls. They provide administrative support to faculty and staff, perform duties consistent with Digital Media and Graphic Design Technology, and strictly honor the privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal, and college regulations, policies, and procedures. The position requires compliance with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality. Service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement is expected, along with performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours.
  • Must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

  • Multi-task - Ability to expeditiously organize, coordinate, manage, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously to swiftly assess a situation, determine a logical course of action, and apply the appropriate response.

  • Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
