About The Position

Requirements

  • Under the supervision of the teacher, provide direct service to individual students.
  • Participate in the daily instruction and activities of the school, program, and class to which the student is assigned.
  • Perform duties that correspond directly to the needs of the student.
  • Provide one-to-one support.
  • May involve special needs duties such as lifting, toileting and transportation assistance.
  • Work closely with students on a regular basis in an effort to provide them with the support needed to gain full benefits from their education program.
  • Support students who may have disabilities/diagnoses that include developmental disorders, autism, physical handicaps, multiple handicaps.
  • Support students who may speak a language other than English.
