About The Position

Provide individualized and group educational services to Native American adolescents ages 12–17 in a residential treatment setting. The role includes assessing students’ educational needs, creating academic plans, and delivering daily instruction across multiple education levels, from elementary through GED. The Education Specialist supports students’ academic and personal goals while coordinating with school systems and participating in treatment team meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid New Mexico Teaching License.
• Current BLS certification.
• Meet background check and security clearance requirements.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS and/or PALS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess students’ educational needs at admission.
• Develop academic plans.
• Deliver daily instruction across multiple education levels, from elementary through GED.
• Support students’ progress toward academic and personal goals.
• Use computer-based learning tools alongside direct instruction.
• Coordinate with school systems and attend education-related meetings.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and uphold professional conduct standards.
