About The Position

Penn State Greater Allegheny is seeking a motivated professional with experience in sales, relationship-building, and regional engagement to expand continuing education and workforce development offerings across the greater Pittsburgh region as an Education Program Specialist - Intermediate level. The successful candidate will work collaboratively to assess workforce needs, develop responsive training programs, recruit instructors, and promote programming that enhances the skills of employees across a variety of industries. Program specialists oversee a portfolio of educational programs and employer partnerships, with responsibility for achieving annual revenue and enrollment goals. This role serves as a key representative of Penn State within the regional workforce ecosystem and actively participates in local, regional, and statewide workforce development events and partnerships. The program specialist is involved in all aspects of program delivery, including development, budgeting, marketing, registration, instructor coordination, logistics, contracts, on-site management, and program evaluation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 1+ years of relevant experience
  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
  • Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Successful completion of a motor vehicle records check
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
