About The Position

The Education Program Data Specialist is responsible for coordinating and supporting education programs through data management, reporting, and administrative operations for Genesis Healthcare System, with primary responsibility for the nursing residency program. This non-clinical role ensures efficient program execution by managing schedules, tracking program data, supporting logistics, and generating actionable insights for Education Services leadership. This position partners with Education Services leadership, education consultants, and Nursing Services to support program success while maintaining clear boundaries from clinical instruction, curriculum ownership, and learner performance evaluation.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in healthcare administration or other related field or 2 years of experience
  • Certified CPR Instructor or willingness to obtain within six (12) months of hire
  • Strong analytical skills and experience.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, decision-making, conflict resolution, and investigative skills.
  • Demonstrated excellence with listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a complex and changing working environment.
  • Excellent computer skills and knowledge of computer software, including programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Knowledge of audio-visual equipment

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and maintains education program schedules, calendars, and timelines
  • Schedules residency classes, rotations, and education sessions
  • Reserves classrooms, simulation labs, and meeting space
  • Coordinates logistics for facilitators, speakers, and training sessions
  • Prepares and distributes program communications, materials, and schedules
  • Maintains organized and accurate education program records
  • Collects, tracks, and maintains program data
  • Administers surveys and evaluation tools
  • Monitors participation trends and outcomes
  • Generates routine and ad hoc reports
  • Ensures data accuracy and confidentiality
  • Serves as a primary data and administrative resource
  • Supports educators and education consultants with logistical coordination
  • Identifies workflow inefficiencies and recommends improvements
  • Assists with audits and accreditation preparation
  • Supports department initiatives and projects
  • Serves on committees as assigned
  • Performs other duties as assigned by leadership
