The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct leadership and assistance to Public School Units (PSUs) to ensure that K-13 students across our state have access to digital-age, personalized learning and are prepared for college and careers in a global society. This position serves as a statewide leader in advancing digital teaching and learning by supporting Public School Units (PSUs) in the implementation of innovative, technology-integrated instructional practices that prepare K-13 students for college, careers, and participation in a global society. The role drives the successful implementation of the NC Digital Learning Initiative and NCED Connect (Home Base) suite of tools through strategic planning support, professional development, data-informed decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration with educational leaders across the state. This position will be home-based and will require travel up to 60% of the time, including day and overnight trips. Position will support the Northeast area, which includes 19 LEAs, Charter, Regional, and Lab Schools in the following counties: Beaufort, Bertie, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Halifax, Hertford, Hyde, Martin, Northampton, Pasquotank, Perquimans, Pitt, Tyrrell, and Washington.
