About The Position

Test Takers is hiring an Education Manager (Site Director) to lead instruction, work with families, and help manage and grow its Nassau County program serving Syosset and Manhasset. The role combines SAT/ACT test preparation and academic tutoring with student and family advising and program and site leadership. The Education Manager has meaningful responsibility and day-to-day autonomy while working closely with a small, experienced leadership team. The position involves approximately 20–25 hours per week of teaching, in addition to leadership and administrative work. Most Education Managers work noon–8:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Sundays. The role is on-site two days per week in Syosset and two days per week in Manhasset, with one day per week from home. Work can be fast-paced during peak seasons, including SAT dates and finals.

Requirements

At least 2 years of teaching or tutoring high school students after college.
Strong SAT proficiency.
Excellent communication skills, especially with parents.
Organized, reliable, and detail-oriented.
Takes initiative and follows through.

Responsibilities

Teach SAT classes and tutor students in test preparation and academic subjects.
Adapt instruction to different learning styles and deliver engaging, high-quality instruction.
Speak with prospective families and guide them toward appropriate programs.
Help students get started with tutoring and classes.
Build relationships that support student retention and referrals.
Manage class schedules and student enrollment.
Coordinate day-to-day logistics and program execution.
Support and mentor tutors.
Contribute to outreach and local growth efforts.
