About The Position

As an Education Director, you will ensure the ongoing delivery of a developmentally appropriate curriculum, train new teachers on the Vivvi Learning Model, coach faculty members, provide mentorship, ensure children’s and faculty members’ files are complete, accurate and up-to-date, and support in all aspects of relationship-building and enrollment with prospective families. You will also foster and promote Vivvi’s inclusive environment throughout all aspects of the school.

Requirements

5-10 years experience in a similar role with at least 2 years Head Teacher experience
Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a related field
Hold or are working toward NYS Initial or Permanent Teaching Certification birth to 2
Deep expertise in emergent- or inquiry-based curricula and a progressive approach to early childhood education
Knowledgeable of licensing requirements for early childhood programs
Value and create strong relationships with families, children, and faculty
Possess excellent leadership skills including the ability to define goals and motivate staff towards success
Already or willing to be CPR and First Aid certified
Fully vaccinated against COVID
Independent US work authorization

Responsibilities

Ensure the ongoing delivery of a developmentally appropriate curriculum
Train new teachers on the Vivvi Learning Model, a child-centered, inquiry-based approach
Coach faculty members and modeling instructional best practices
Provide mentorship to faculty members including regular performance evaluations and meaningful professional development opportunities
Ensure children’s and faculty members’ files are complete, accurate and up-to-date at all times
Support in all aspects of relationship-building and enrollment with prospective families
Foster and promoting Vivvi’s inclusive environment throughout all aspects of the school
