About The Position

The Education Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing educational programs, ensuring compliance with various standards, and managing staff within an early childhood setting. This role requires a strong understanding of child development, supervisory experience, and the ability to work collaboratively to achieve the agency's mission.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education
• 5+ years of experience in Early Childhood Education
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in an early childhood setting
• Thorough understanding of early childhood development and special needs
• Knowledge of state licensing standards, Head Start performance standards, School Readiness, and accreditation
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry children weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Use of arms, hands, legs and feet with or without corrective devices to accomplish the job including evacuation of the building during emergencies.
• Ability to kneel, bend and sit while interacting with children at floor level.
• Ability to sit and work at computer.
• Ability to function within guidelines of Agency’s core values
• Identification with Agency mission
