About The Position

Houston Ballet, a leading nonprofit arts organization, is seeking an Education & Community Engagement (ECE) Operations Coordinator. This role is crucial for coordinating programs and staff within the ECE department, contributing to the organization's mission of inspiring a lasting love of dance through performances, choreography, and education programs. The coordinator will play a key part in managing the ECE department's operations, ensuring smooth program delivery, and fostering relationships within the Houston community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Organized, good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-initiator and goal oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel is required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Publisher, Word.
  • Knowledge of Google Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate ECE programs and activities to serve the greater metropolitan area of Houston including surrounding ISDs, community centers, and other organizations.
  • Oversee yearly and weekly calendar and class scheduling.
  • Maintain database.
  • Maintain a clear and accurate budget.
  • Maintain accurate ECE reporting to Development, City Council and other entities as needed.
  • Establish relationships with schools and community organizations to raise the visibility of ECE programming in the greater Houston community.
  • Coordinate and schedule ECE programs in collaboration with other ECE staff.
  • Assist with program evaluation and data analysis.
  • Maintain updated descriptions of all programs.
  • Liaise with other departments and Houston Ballet Guild.
  • Liaise with Area ISD’s and other community organizations.
