The Education Associate serves as the lead facilitator and educational ambassador for the Hawaiʻi Mobile Museum of Tolerance. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality educational programs to students, educators, community members, government agencies, nonprofit partners, and other audiences across the Hawaiian Islands. The Education Associate facilitates student workshops, educator professional learning programs, community engagement initiatives, and special events while helping build meaningful relationships with schools and community partners. This role requires an individual who is equally comfortable facilitating a classroom of students, leading professional development for educators, engaging community audiences, and representing the organization at public events. The Education Associate serves not only as a facilitator of content, but as a relationship-centered educator who understands that meaningful learning in Hawaiʻi is grounded in community, place, and lived experience. This role requires an individual who approaches educational engagement with cultural awareness, curiosity, and a commitment to learning from and alongside the communities they serve. The ideal candidate is an experienced facilitator and educator with a preferred background in: dialogue-based learning civic education media literacy social studies Holocaust and human rights education or related fields Demonstrated commitment to inclusive learning environments, place-based education, culturally responsive practice, and community-centered engagement.
