About The Position

This position provides support for the Assistant Director of Exchange/Affiliate and the team they oversee in Education Abroad (Texas Global). This team facilitates outbound programming and advising for students studying abroad on exchange and affiliate partner programs. The role involves supporting the promotion of Education Abroad events and programs, assisting with administrative and student enrollment processes, and supporting student advising. The position is for 20 hours per week, covering both Fall and Spring semesters, and is expected to continue until May 15, 2027, with the possibility of continuing into the 2028-29 academic year.

Responsibilities

  • Support the promotion of Education Abroad events and programs by creating publicity materials, publishing calendar events, and assisting with coordination for events such as fairs, information sessions, and pre-departure sessions.
  • Assist with promotion at fairs, information sessions, and orientations as needed.
  • Assist with the preparation and updating of materials, presentations, publications, workshops, and web pages.
  • Conduct research and outreach to expand EA program and event visibility across campus and for targeted audiences.
  • Support EA administrative and student enrollment processes, including information management of program and student records using EA databases, systems, and tracking tools.
  • Track and support student enrollment processes for registration, financial aid, pre-departure preparation, and compliance.
  • Support program and student evaluation processes, data compilation, and feedback loops, including facilitating surveys and focus groups.
  • Support programming processes by updating manuals, documents, presentations, web content, and Canvas courses.
  • Support credit processes and research course equivalencies.
  • Create efficiencies and streamline data in the knowledge management system (Asana).
  • Support general student advising, advise for specific programs, host remote advising and live Q&A sessions, and create short advising videos.
  • Help train and support peer advisors.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
