In this position, you will be responsible for designing the PCB layout for traction inverter applications and validating the design through analysis, simulation, and physical testing. You will lead complex layout projects, capture PCB design requirements through electrical and mechanical design reviews, and design the PCB layout considering thermal management, signal routing, and mechanical constraints. The role involves optimizing the layout for signal integrity, power integrity, and impedance control, and working with cross-functional product development teams. You will verify the layout meets electrical and manufacturing specifications using automated design rules, create and verify PCB footprints and schematic symbols, and maintain a library of all schematic symbols, footprints, and part types. Additionally, you will conduct signal integrity and power integrity analysis, collaborate with electrical engineers to address design concerns, create detailed layout documentation for manufacturing and assembly, and work with testing engineers to test and verify the PCB layout through prototype builds and electrical validation processes.
