This role involves close collaboration with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, packaging engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure that designs meet performance, quality, and compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in PCB layout design for analog, digital, RF, or mixed-signal circuits.
  • Proficiency with PCB design tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, Mentor Graphics PADS, KiCad, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of PCB and substrate manufacturing processes, materials, and design-for-manufacturing (DFM) practices.
  • Understanding of high-speed signal design, EMI/EMC considerations, and thermal management.
  • Ability to interpret and apply IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351, IPC-6012, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Create and develop PCB and substrate layouts based on schematic diagrams and design specifications.
  • Collaborate with hardware, mechanical and signal integrity engineers to ensure design accuracy and compliance with requirements.
  • Optimize layouts for signal integrity, power distribution, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
  • Generate Gerber files, fabrication drawings, and assembly documentation for manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (IPC, UL, RoHS, etc.) and internal design guidelines.
  • Perform design rule checks (DRC) and electrical rule checks (ERC) to validate design integrity.
  • Work with vendors and fabrication houses to resolve manufacturing issues and ensure high-yield production.
  • Maintain version control and design documentation for all layouts.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to improve PCB design processes.
