About The Position

Flex is hiring a Night EDM Operator in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, to support its manufacturing teams. Reporting to the Tooling Manager, the operator sets up and operates wire and sinker EDM machines, inspects work pieces, and creates setups or fixtures to ensure accuracy. The schedule is 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The operator maintains the organization and cleanliness of the EDM department, performs preventive maintenance on departmental machines, inspects and documents finished items, and keeps machines running. The hourly base pay range is $26.03–$35.14. Applications are scheduled to be accepted from October 28, 2026, through November 30, 2026, or until the position is filled; the posting may close sooner due to application volume.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of wire and sinker EDM setup experience.
• Experience with CNC machines and ability to operate more than one machine at a time.
• Familiarity with common hand tools and inspection gauges.
• General tooling equipment background.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Availability for the night shift.
