About The Position

Audible's Content team is seeking a passionate editor to support the ongoing curation needs of the editorial team and to oversee the Hear My Story program. This program focuses on collections by storytellers from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The Editor will define the program's goals and strategy, ensuring alignment with departmental and business objectives. Responsibilities include overseeing updates to program pages across Global English marketplaces, collaborating with partner teams on execution, measuring program success, and reporting on results. The role also involves active participation in other Editorial programs, such as Editors Select and Best of the Year, contributing subject matter and genre expertise.

Requirements

• 5+ years of editor, content strategist, technical writer, or content developer experience
• Experience working with a Content Management System (e.g. Wordpress, Drupla, Joomla, etc.)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• Experience overseeing large-scale editorial programs, and delivering on results
• Experience championing diverse content and creators

• Experience managing multiple complex projects and adapting to change
• Curatorial expertise, and strong written skills
• Familiarity with Substack
• Passion for pop-culture and current events, with a strong editorial sense
• Deep knowledge of books, authors, and publishing industry, both recent releases and backlist titles

Responsibilities

• Oversee Editorial’s Hear My Story (“HMS”) program, collections by storytellers from diverse backgrounds and experiences, across our Global English marketplaces
• Work with the individual HMS page owners on the Editorial team to ensure each experience (across blog and app) maintains an “always on” feel
• Advocate for and secure Blog content to support each HMS page (i.e. interviews, 5 listens with, relevant articles etc.)
• Deliver on results of the program, and oversee the strategy for the program’s overall health
• Offer subject-matter expertise on various genres
• Conceive, pitch, create, and edit content for our Blog designed to help our listeners find their next great listen
