Editor

About The Position

This role is for an editor who understands what people watch online and knows how to build a hook, find the story, and control the pace to match current trends. It's also for an editor who can shift gears when the material calls for it: from social-first content to original scripted pieces, where narrative instinct, performance, and scene construction matter just as much as the hook. You'll turn raw footage, behind-the-scenes moments, interviews, tutorials, and original shorts into compelling platform-native content. You'll cut original narrative pieces from assembly to final delivery. You'll work across various formats and aspect ratios, using editing, sound design, motion graphics, captions, and platform-specific storytelling to spotlight our team and collaborators, showcase what our technology can do, and strengthen our online presence.

Requirements

  • A portfolio is required and is the most important thing you will share with us. Send Instagram reels/Tik Tok/Youtube videos/other work you are proud of, and send the accounts or channels you ran or cut for with the specific videos you edited completely (graphics-edit), not one clip from a project you touched.
  • 3+ years of professional editing focused on social-first content, digital storytelling, entertainment, or creative marketing.
  • Advanced Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects and Photoshop.
  • Motion graphics you built yourself, including text and logo animation inside an edit.
  • A real point of view and passion for what makes a social edit work: hooks, pacing, content pillars, and how viewership behaves differently on each platform.
  • Command of pacing, structure, sound design, music, captions, and color correction, plus working knowledge of codecs, frame rates, and post workflows.
  • Comfort with longer-form and narrative work. If you have cut scripted material, show us the piece and tell us what you cut.
  • Self-starter habits: you can take footage to final delivery with light oversight, and you take notes enthusiastically

Nice To Haves

  • CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, Avid, or alongside Premiere.
  • Motion graphics templates you built for other people to reuse.
  • A channel, page, or account of your own that you cut and grew.
  • Genuine passion in AI, filmmaking, and where the two meet.

Responsibilities

  • Cut and publish social video for Dream Lab and Luma across TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube, vertical and horizontal, at the team’s target cadence.
  • Find the hook, story, and structure inside raw footage from Dream Lab shoots, workshops, creator sessions, and partner projects.
  • Turn Luma product moments (Ray3.2, UNI-1.1, Luma Agents) into tutorials and demos that make a complicated creative workflow look easy.
  • Be enthusiastic about trying out the tool and knowing what the team is up to.
  • Build motion graphics into the video components AND text and logo animation that belong to the piece rather than a preset dropped on top.
  • Cut longer-form work: YouTube series episodes, project breakdowns, interviews and profiles of Dream Lab's team, creators, and partners, and original scripted or narrative pieces from assembly through picture lock.
  • Version every piece for where it lands: cutdowns, teasers, trailers, aspect ratios, runtimes, captions, sound design, color.
  • Read the performance data after a piece publishes and change the next hook, format, or opening because of it.
  • Keep footage, project files, graphics, music, and exports organized so the next edit starts fast instead of starting over.
