About The Position

NCR Voyix is seeking a Technical Lead with expertise in Kubernetes, Linux, and cloud-native technologies to help enterprise retail customers deploy and scale applications at the edge. The role leads projects that deploy NCR Voyix Edge into customer environments and develops subject-matter expertise in the product, advising customers and internal teams on its implementation. The position works closely with the existing Professional Services team and the Edge Engineering team.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience as the technical lead in complex technology implementations.
At least 2 years of experience deploying containerized workloads and microservice architectures using Docker and/or Kubernetes.
Experience with cloud solutions and best practices using one or more major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with the application development lifecycle and best practices involving source code management, application build, testing, and deployment.
Infrastructure-as-Code experience using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm Charts.
Scripting or configuration-as-code experience using tools or languages such as Python, Ansible, Groovy, Bash, and/or PowerShell.
Excellent understanding of core internet and networking technologies, including routing and switching, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
Ability to provide well-considered, clearly articulated, pragmatic solutions and recommendations to complex business problems.
Ability to collaborate with and influence technical and non-technical stakeholders, resources, and teams.
Excellent technical communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
Flexible and highly organized, with the ability to prioritize workload across competing demands.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including under pressure, and attention to detail.
Willingness to learn new technologies and take on varied technical challenges.

Responsibilities

Lead multiple projects to deploy NCR Voyix Edge at customer sites.
Become a technical expert in the NCR Voyix Edge solution.
Create and maintain project plans and task lists for the wider team.
Assist customers with integrating and deploying NCR Voyix Edge in their environments, remotely and on-site.
Provide guidance and familiarisation to customers and internal teams deploying and using the solution.
Work with customers to deploy their applications onto NCR Voyix Edge.
Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions to complex scenarios.
Build and maintain lab environments.
Build and support Proof of Concept environments to assist in the sales process.
Work with the Edge Engineering team to identify defects and product improvements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products, technologies, and competitors.
Provide technical support to the Sales Engineering team on product architecture and implementation of Proof of Concepts for new opportunities.
Provide occasional out-of-hours support when needed for assigned projects.
