About The Position

Our primary function is to offer continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician directed care and RN supervision. We service a multitude of patients and their families across our vast network, while remaining committed to the professional development of our staff, the functional improvement of our patients, and the cultivation of strong partnerships within our communities.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience as a nursing assistance, EMT, monitor tech, or unit secretary, preferably in the area of application.
• Must be able to follow directions and perform work according to department standards under the supervision of an RN.
• High School Diploma
• Current BLS/ACLS/PALS
• 1 year in hospital or related field desired

Responsibilities

• Assisting the healthcare team members in delivering patient care to emergency room patients.
• Preparing patients for examinations and treatments.
• Taking patient vital signs.
• Obtaining specimens.
• Initiating and maintaining IV saline locks.
• Setting up rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
• Assisting physicians and staff nurses during treatments.
• Gathering patient information for emergency room patients in the functional areas of admissions, discharges, insurance verification and emergency room treatment records.
