About The Position

The ER Tech has a responsibility to acts as adjunct to registered nursing and support staff in providing clinical care as approved by their licensure. Provide support to peers, patients, and their families. All aspects of the ER Tech's performance supports service excellence and a healing environment. The ER Tech identifies and communicates needed unit resources or equipment to the appropriate person in charge.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing (LPN), EMT or Paramedic program
• Current licensure / Certification in the state of Florida
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• ACLS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• PALS certification through the American Heart Association for Healthcare Providers.
• Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
• TB/PPD Surveillance Program
• Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).

Nice To Haves

• Previous hospital experience preferred
