About The Position

As our ED Tech, you will help the Emergency Department's Registered Nurses perform technical patient care on all patient populations so they can ensure accurate and timely medical interventions and maintain efficient department operations. Every day you will complete essential documentation, collect patient data such as vital signs and I&O, and assist with clinical duties as outlined in hospital policies. You will be expected to perform 12-lead EKGs, respond appropriately to clinical requests, maintain unit supplies, and actively participate in staff development and trainee orientation. To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of one year of experience with an EMS provider (or qualify as an EMT), possess excellent computer skills, demonstrate an understanding of crisis intervention, and be able to effectively communicate and collaborate within a dynamic healthcare environment.significantly to timely patient care and a smooth-running ED. Requirements

  • Minimum one (1) year experience with EMS provider or If no qualified candidates apply, and operational conditions exist, the Employer may consider candidates without the required one (1) year experience as an EMT
  • Emergency Medical Technician: CA
  • Basic Life Support - BLS through an American Heart Association Provider
