About The Position

The ED Paramedic is responsible for administering prompt and efficient hospital care to the patient at the Advanced Life Support level. Provides care under the direction of the department leader in the evaluation and treatment of patients operating via in-person medical direction and standing orders (protocols) approved by the hospital. Ensures optimal patient care and a positive patient experience.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
• Certified by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians – Paramedic level
• Certified by the State of Louisiana as an Emergency Medical Technician – Paramedic level.
• American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider
• ACLS
• PALS/ENPC
• CPI obtained within 6 months of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - American Heart Association (NOEH will receive within 90 days)
