We are seeking a talented individual to join our Strategic Partnerships team at Mercer a Marsh business. This position has the flexibility to be located near any Mercer office. The Ecosystem Program Manager (Leader) is a cross-ecosystem growth role responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and contracting new partners aligned to our firm’s growth strategy. Working closely with the Strategic Partnerships Leader and segment leaders, you will lead partners through the lifecycle—from initial business case through contract signature and handoff to GTM teams—while expanding the scope of value created through the ecosystem. Requirements

  • Proven experience in strategic partnerships, alliances, business development, or ecosystem program leadership, including sourcing and contracting new partners.
  • Strong capability in business case development and financial modeling, translating strategy into commercial rationale and measurable outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success navigating commercial terms, contracting, and governance in a matrixed environment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influence skills, with the ability to drive outcomes at pace across internal and external groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong understanding of the HR technology ecosystem and market trends (platforms, point solutions, and buying patterns).
  • Experience building and scaling partner program operating models (tiers, rules of engagement, onboarding and activation playbooks).
  • Track record improving time-to-contract and accelerating partner activation through disciplined process design and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and secure new partners by continuously scouting the HR tech market and sourcing high-potential opportunities that fill strategic gaps or open new markets.
  • Build partnership business cases (strategy, financial model, and justification) and co-present recommendations with the Strategic Partnerships Leader to the regional Governance Committee.
  • Lead commercial governance to ensure contracts, terms, and commercial structures are fit for purpose and support the financial health of the ecosystem.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment and execution across Career leaders, partner executives, MMC BCS, Legal, and Finance to activate and commercialize partners quickly.
  • Design and manage partner onboarding, ensuring operational readiness and a smooth transition prior to handoff to sales and marketing teams.
  • Establish and maintain partner program governance (commercial framework, partner tiers, rules of engagement) and oversee partner marketing/activation spend to ensure investments are targeted and scalable.
