About The Position

The City of Chandler Economic Development Division leads efforts to attract new companies, support existing businesses, drives tourism, and strengthens the local economy. The team proactively identifies companies for recruitment, manages relationships, provides site selection assistance, market data, and customized support to help businesses successfully locate and grow in Chandler. They focus on targeted industries and workforce development to ensure companies have access to the talent and resources they need to thrive. The division also includes Visit Chandler, the City’s tourism program, which promotes Chandler as a destination for visitors, meetings, and events—supporting local hotels, restaurants, and retail. Together, these efforts reinforce Chandler’s reputation as a Community of Innovation with a strong business climate and high quality of life. Our new team member will have a passion for a wide variety of activities to promote Chandler’s value proposition as a preferred destination for private sector capital investment through proactive lead generation, sales and marketing campaigns, networking, client engagement with the ultimate goal to attract new business investment opportunities and retain existing employers. An employee in this classification may also assist Economic Development Project Managers with more complex projects. An employee in this class also performs statistical comparisons, maintains data resources, prepares reports, represents the team at trade shows and conferences.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Economic Development, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics, Marketing or a related field
2 years experience in economic development, marketing, commercial real estate, international trade, finance or a related field
A valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work
