About The Position

This role involves working alongside a global team of Product Owners, Business Solution Architects, and Developers to collaborate on specifications based on stakeholder requirements, validate proposals, and deliver solutions. The position requires hands-on coding for user stories, optimizing and refactoring code, and developing end-to-end solutions within the SAP Commerce (Hybris) platform and SAP CPQ, integrating with SAP ECC, CRM Systems (Salesforce or similar), and other external web services. Responsibilities include leading technical code reviews, creating and maintaining technical documentation, developing custom skills using Claude AI or similar for task automation, troubleshooting complex production issues, and participating in enterprise-level technical design reviews. The role also encompasses ownership of release cycles, including scrum ceremonies, documenting and approving changes for implementation and deployment, managing CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps, and overseeing automated testing frameworks. Collaboration with technical and non-technical teams to translate business objectives into executable plans, working with product managers and designers, and guiding/mentoring backend developers in Java/Spring best practices are key aspects. The developer will also stay current with emerging technologies and identify integration opportunities.

Requirements

8+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree
A minimum of 5 years of hand on development experience within SAP Commerce cloud (Hybris) platform
At least 2 years within that uses SAP CPQ (Configure Price Quote) module preferred.
Strong functional understanding of B2B Sales processes and concepts, exposure to Configure to Order, Engineer to Order process.
Hands on technical skills with SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) and SAP CPQ that will be utilized to define technical architecture.
Solid understanding of Headless Architecture using Spartacus (SAP Composable Storefront) or ReactJS based front end and OCC (Omni Commerce Connect) APIs
Deep proficiency in Java (J2EE) and the Spring Framework (Spring Core, MVC, Security, Integration).
Application development using Claude AI or similar, using structured planning, autonomous subagents, and environment management.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working experience in a highly agile environment and ability to multitask
Strong experience in Solutioning for complex projects
Strong background in mid to large-scale B2B SAP Commerce implementations
The ability to analyze complex problems, identify patterns, and develop innovative solutions

Nice To Haves

Hands on experience with SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) Migration projects
Experience in full stack development with ReactJS
Experience in creating custom skills to automate repetitive tasks using Claude AI or similar

Responsibilities

Hands-on coding to deliver user stories, optimize and refactor code to improve performance
Develop end-to-end solutions within SAP Commerce (Hybris) platform and SAP CPQ integrating with SAP ECC, CRM Systems (Salesforce or similar) and other external web services.
Lead technical code review to ensure standards and requirements are met
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, integration guides, and API documentation.

Troubleshoot complex production issues (memory leaks, thread dumps) and optimize backend services.
Participate in enterprise level technical design review.
Take ownership of release cycles including running scrum ceremonies
Documenting and getting the change approved to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications.
Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and oversee automated testing frameworks.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams to translate business objectives into an executable plan.
Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver intuitive and efficient user experiences
Guide and mentor a team of backend developers in Java/Spring best practice, code quality, and Hybris-specific development standards.
Stay current with emerging technologies and identify opportunities to integrate them into our digital ecosystem.
