About The Position

The Ecommerce Account Executive is responsible for the development, management, and growth of the company's Amazon 1P business, and serves as the primary owner of the day-to-day relationship with Amazon. This position leads redistribution and growth strategy in partnership with supplier partners and works in close coordination with the Amazon 3P team to ensure 1P and 3P strategy remain aligned rather than competitive. The Ecommerce Account Executive may additionally assume management of several existing marketplace accounts.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to grow a major ecommerce account year over year.
  • Working knowledge of Amazon Vendor Central and the operational mechanics of a 1P relationship.
  • Understanding of the interaction between 1P and 3P marketplace strategy.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Word processing, internet software, e-mail, and database software.
  • Expert Excel skills required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct Amazon 1P experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing direct reports preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary owner of the Amazon 1P account, responsible for its development, management, and growth.
  • Lead redistribution and growth strategy with supplier partners, including assortment expansion, new item introduction, and joint business planning.
  • Coordinate continuously with the Amazon 3P to align pricing, assortment, and promotional strategy across 1P and 3P, and to prevent channel conflict.
  • Assume management of additional assigned marketplace accounts transitioning from prior ownership, ensuring continuity of service and no disruption to revenue.
  • Support all day-to-day Amazon related tasks, projects, and initiatives.
  • Prioritize tasks and stay organized while balancing a large assortment, including proprietary brands, both in-network and dropship.
  • Track and analyze sales and profitability reports and recommend and implement opportunities for sales improvement.
  • Identify trends, opportunities, or issues that could have an impact on revenue or profitability and execute projects accordingly.
  • Work closely with cross-functional departments including Merchandising, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations to support the account.
  • Collaborate with internal Advertising and Marketing support to optimize advertising on Amazon through vehicles such as Sponsored Product Ads, Sponsored Brand Ads, and Display Ads.
  • Work with the pricing team and third-party marketplace data to calculate optimal price for Amazon and implement changes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Amazon vendor managers, meeting frequently to uncover growth opportunities and prove value as a 1P partner.
  • Review and dispute operational chargebacks to minimize potential for future infractions.
  • Utilize reporting tools, including Vendor Central, to analyze data on a variety of critical business drivers to improve results.
