William Osler Health System (Osler) is seeking an Echocardiography Technologist for their Non-Invasive Cardiology department. This role involves performing cardiac ultrasound studies, including 2D and color Doppler, for both adult and pediatric patient assessments. Requirements

  • Registered with the CMRITO
  • Post graduate Cardiac Sonography diploma from an accredited school in Canada
  • RDCS registration in good standing with ARDMS or Sonography Canada
  • Proficient in adult studies and associated echo modalities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills with a well-developed customer service focus; dealing effectively with patients and physicians
  • Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment
  • Demonstrate initiative and judgment appropriate for the position
  • Ability to work in an inter-professional team environment as well as independently
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, and the ability to make independent decisions, displaying a high level of initiative
  • Proven ability to work successful in a physically and mentally demanding environment
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position
  • Satisfactory attendance record
  • Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record required
  • Required to work at all Osler sites

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in pediatric sonography

Responsibilities

  • Perform cardiac ultrasound studies including 2D and color doppler for adult and paediatric patient assessments.
  • Assist cardiologists with transesophaegeal studies, stress echo, and contrast echo.
  • Participate in quality management.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
