ECHO TECHNOLOGIST - 7:30am-4:00pm
About The Position
Oklahoma Surgical Hospital is seeking a full-time Echo Technologist for a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. No holidays or weekends are required. This safety-sensitive position produces quality images by operating complex imaging equipment and performing technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. The technologist uses high-frequency sound waves (ultrasound) and other noninvasive echocardiography equipment to produce images of the heart and supports diagnostic and/or therapeutic services for a specified patient population. The role requires specialized knowledge and skills to perform these procedures safely and effectively. The position qualifies for the hospital’s full benefits package and discretionary quarterly bonuses.
Requirements
- Current RCS certification from CCI or RDCS certification from ARDMS required upon hire.
- BLS certification required upon hire.
- At least 1 year of hospital experience as an echo technologist.
- Cognitive, technical, and interpersonal skills required to deliver safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities
- Operate complex imaging equipment and perform technical procedures to produce quality images.
- Use ultrasound and other noninvasive echocardiography equipment to produce images of the heart.
- Support diagnostic and/or therapeutic services for a specified patient population.
- Apply independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative while carrying out procedures.
