Echo Technologist

SimonMed Imaging•Arizona, AZ

About The Position

SimonMed is seeking an Echo Technologist to perform high-quality outpatient echocardiography and vascular ultrasound studies with technical precision, sound clinical judgment, and patient-centered care. The role includes 2D, 3D, contrast-enhanced, strain, and M-mode echocardiography with Doppler and color flow, as well as arterial, venous, carotid, and peripheral vascular examinations. The technologist obtains diagnostic images, Doppler waveforms, and measurements in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols, and reviews studies for completeness before they reach the interpreting physician. The technologist recognizes abnormal findings and promptly communicates significant observations to physicians. They maintain accurate real-time documentation, use PACS, RIS, EMR, and Studycast systems, perform routine equipment quality-control checks, and follow infection-control and HIPAA standards. The position calls for independent workflow management in a high-volume outpatient setting, adaptability to changing patient and exam needs, and compassionate communication throughout each patient interaction. The technologist may mentor students or new staff and participate in quality-improvement initiatives. SimonMed describes a collaborative outpatient environment with predictable schedules, holidays off, no overnight on-call, and modern ultrasound systems. The role offers opportunities for cross-training, internal mobility, and potential growth into additional ARDMS specialties, lead sonographer or training roles, or leadership.
