About The Position

The Cardiac Sonographer performs cardiac ultrasound imaging, including studies involving ultrasound imaging enhancement agents and bubble studies. The role requires registration as an RDCS or RCS, experience as a cardiac sonographer, and the ability to work occasionally at all Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) sites.

Requirements

• Registered as a Cardiac Sonographer with an RDCS or RCS credential; documentation required.
• At least 1 year of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer.
• Willingness to work occasionally at all Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) sites.
• Knowledge of aseptic technique and EKG rhythms.
• Ability to use electronic medical records.
• Experience with IV insertion for administration of ultrasound imaging enhancement agents and bubble studies.
• Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program with an associate or bachelor's degree.
• Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC; documentation required.
