Assigned area of coverage: Adams, Berks, Bradford, Bucks, Carbon, Chester, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Franklin, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Montour, Monroe, Montgomery, Northumberland, Northampton, Perry, Philadelphia, Pike, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, Wyoming, and York counties. This role focuses on conducting field work, reviewing apprenticeship programs, and supporting sponsors as they build strong training structures.

Requirements

• One year as a Workforce Development Analyst 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Two years of experience in performing technical work in a workforce development program, and a bachelor’s degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Must meet the PA residency requirement.
• Must be able to perform essential job functions.
• Federally compliant identification such as a U.S. Passport, REAL ID, or Military ID at the time of conditional job offer.

Responsibilities

• Carry out independent field work and connect with employers, unions, schools, and organizations to review apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs
• Conduct provisional and compliance reviews and document results according to policies and established procedures
• Assist sponsors in understanding concerns, improving program structures, and addressing issues raised during reviews
• Provide direction to organizations interested in apprenticeship and make recommendations that align with state standards and regulations
• Deliver presentations and conduct training sessions for statewide and local audiences on expanding apprenticeship opportunities
• Maintain communication records, use required tracking systems such as RAPIDS, and prepare reports related to apprenticeship activities
