The role is expected to demonstrate acumen and fluency in wealth management, financial markets, and comprehensive planning. This role is also responsible for supporting firm-wide initiatives across the market (e.g., Outsourced Advisor Solutions (OAS), Associate Clients, Philanthropy), supporting event strategy and execution, and leading the partnership with Human Resources on PWA talent acquisition. This role serves as the face of the firm in the region/market and ensures the teams in the region/market are executing sales and strategic priorities in alignment with the national sales leadership’s strategic direction.

Requirements

  • You have exceptional industry experience, with a proven track record as a leader in wealth management and a deep understanding of private client needs.
  • You are strategic, partnering actively and looking holistically at the sales operating environment to identify opportunities for improvement that can create efficiency and accelerate growth.
  • You are an inspirational leader, helping advisors and associates visualize near and long-term success, and instilling purpose and driving engagement in day-to-day prospecting and client service.
  • You are agile, able to anticipate and deliver on the needs of a sophisticated, fast-paced business and possess the ability to simultaneously balance a wide range of strategic priorities.
  • You are collaborative, partnering seamlessly with teams across Capital Group, including marketing, product development, sales and service, to enhance the overall client experience and ensure alignment of sales efforts.
  • You are results oriented, setting clear expectations and driving accountability with both underlying behaviors as well as long term results.
  • You develop talent, ranging from new advisors to those with decades of experience.
  • You are influential and credible, operating as a highly visible ambassador and promoting excellence in client engagement, relationship development and practice management.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Business Development Collaborate with national leadership to develop and execute the regional business plan aligned with national or corporate goals (e.g., AUM growth, client acquisition, budgeting, resource allocation, etc.).
  • Understand market opportunities, competitive positioning and local economic conditions to identify growth areas; define approach and execution standards for new business and client acquisition; set performance targets for advisors.
  • Demonstrate acumen and fluency in wealth management, financial markets, and comprehensive planning; actively pursue ongoing education and apply insights from industry trends and best practices to drive business outcomes in the region/market.
  • Drive activity that generates new business opportunities in the market to achieve client acquisition and asset growth goals.
  • Client Engagement and Management Responsible for cultivating relationships with the most important clients in the region.
  • Keep pulse on client satisfaction and experience and represent the voice of the client in strategic planning.
  • Understand composition and “health” of regional client base; maintain knowledge of clients to optimize client experience and limit outflows, reallocate as necessary (succession, etc.), ensure proactive planning for next generation engagement, manage book sizes.
  • Oversee and guide PWAs on managing their book, retaining clients, and executing impeccable service.
  • Internal Engagement Build strong relationships across Capital Group teams.
  • Be a brand ambassador of PCS in the local market; amplify PCS key messages and value proposition at local events.
  • Practice Management Responsible for reinforcing expectations on business routines and ensuring the practices are executed according to the practice management playbook.
  • Oversee and guide PWA business planning, goal setting, and client segmentation.
  • Talent / Private Wealth Advisor Talent Development and Coaching Maintain an always-on search for advisor talent in the market; work with Human Resources on internal and external talent sourcing and evaluation of PWA candidates.
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement to enhance the skills and performance of PWAs through coaching and training to drive sales effectiveness, wealth planning acumen and adoption of sales/service standards.
  • Deliver effective performance reviews based upon clear development plans.
  • Positively shape the office culture by consistently demonstrating and reinforcing Capital Group’s core values through everyday leadership, communication, and presence.
  • Support National Sales Director on Firm-Wide Initiatives Responsible for supporting firm-wide initiatives across markets (e.g., OAS, Associate Clients, Philanthropy).
  • Support event strategy nationally and locally and oversee effective execution of events in the market/region.
  • Community Engagement Responsible for engaging in philanthropic activity in the market to build awareness of the PCS brand, support causes important to Capital Group and PCS clients.
  • Lead by example on broadening regional center of influence network through community presence.
