About The Position

This coaching position will be based on district needs and your coaching experience. The role aims to foster teamwork, responsibility, accountability, and personal initiative, empowering students to use technology to solve real-world problems. In-service training will be provided for implementing project-based learning and transitioning to a facilitator role that motivates students to learn and solve problems with technology. The position requires providing an instructional program to meet student needs, creating an engaging classroom environment, and adhering to curriculum guidelines. The facilitator will guide the learning process, establish learning objectives, and utilize effective instructional methods and resources. Safety precautions for students, equipment, materials, and facilities are essential. Accurate record-keeping, establishing and maintaining classroom behavior rules, and being available for students and parents outside instructional hours are also key responsibilities. Building positive relationships with colleagues, students, parents, and the community is expected. Technical training in computer-aided design, design engineering, architectural visualization, and geoprocessing technology will be provided. Summer training is required, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Arkansas teaching license.
  • Must be willing to obtain CDL within 1 year from hire date.

Nice To Haves

  • License Code 528 (Computer Science), or any other license code related to technology is preferred.
  • Coaching experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide an instructional program to meet the needs of all students.
  • Create a classroom environment that provides for student involvement in the learning process and enables each student to achieve learning objectives.
  • Prepare for class assigned, and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior.
  • Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals.
  • Establish learning objectives consistent with an appraisal of student needs, requirements of Arkansas learning standards and curriculum frameworks and knowledge of human growth and development.
  • Adhere to the curriculum pacing guide in order to maximize student learning.
  • Plan for and utilize instructional methods, resources and evaluation techniques, which motivate and enable each student to achieve learning objectives.
  • Take all necessary and safety precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and District policy.
  • Develop reasonable Classroom behavior rules and procedures, and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner.
  • Make provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms.
  • Establish relationships with colleagues, students, parents and community which reflect recognition of and respect for every individual.
  • Participate cooperatively with the appropriate administrator in the evaluation process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
