Terms of Employment: 10-Month Exemption Status: Exempt EACC SALARY SCALE RS11_MA Salary Scales FY 2026 - Charles County Public Schools EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Master’s degree Professional training and license/certification in one of the following: Special education, Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy Assistive Technology Professional Certification 5 years' experience in professional field QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge and experience with IEP procedures Advanced training in the area of assistive technology Knowledgeable in current research and best practices for assistive technology services and devices ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Collaborates with IEP team members to evaluate and make recommendations regarding the selection, modification and implementation of AT devices and services to allow students to access and benefit from their program of specialized instruction. Makes recommendations regarding the purchase, repair and replacement of AT devices. Maintains appropriate digital resources, such as assistive technology web pages, for information about assistive technology Maintains a database of CCPS assistive technology devices Assists in identification of assistive technology devices and services to allow students with disabilities to access and benefit from their program of education Consults with teachers, school administration, parents, and others, as appropriate, regarding students’ assistive technology needs Provides training for teachers, instructional assistants, related service providers, parents in the use of assistive technology devices ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The environmental factors and/or physical requirements of this position include the following: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Requirements

  • Master’s degree
