About The Position

V3 Construction Group (V3), a prime contractor that self-performs earthwork, drainage, and erosion control on infrastructure and ecological restoration projects, is seeking a full-time, field-based Earthwork Foreman. The position directs union earthwork equipment operators and laborers on projects throughout the Chicagoland area. Projects may include new-construction site preparation, road and trail construction, shoreline stabilization, and wetland mitigation or restoration. The foreman role may be union or non-union.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience directing a field crew in earthwork trade operations.
• Strong knowledge of soil types, conditions, and soil mitigation methods.
• Strong supervisory skills and the ability to direct field personnel and equipment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
• Ability to perform daily physical labor, including lifting or carrying at least 50 pounds.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform multiple tasks.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise field crews of operators, laborers, and drivers completing earthwork operations.
• Coordinate, order, and procure jobsite materials.
• Assist with subcontractor coordination and direction.
