About The Position

The Early Intervention Technician provides specialized early intervention services to school-age children and youth with developmental disabilities. This school-based position involves working one-on-one with children in a therapeutic capacity to address individual behavioral and developmental goals. The role begins at approximately 20–25 hours per week, with the potential to build a caseload and reach full-time hours depending on availability and caseload in the area. The position follows the school-year schedule, so school breaks in summer and winter may affect working hours. Technicians plan, schedule, and provide weekly services; design, implement, and adapt activities addressing language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development; and complete assessments and documentation accurately and on time. They model effective adult-child interactions, share written information and weekly activities with parents, coach families, and monitor and communicate each child’s progress with the family and team. Training and advancement opportunities are available.
