About The Position
Young Interventions, Inc. is seeking Early Intervention Specialists in San Bernardino County, specifically in the High Desert Areas (Hesperia, Phelan, Victorville, Apple Valley, Adelanto, and surrounding areas). This position can be part-time or full-time, requiring at least 20 client hours per week plus drive time. The organization is committed to improving the quality of life for infants and toddlers with or at risk of developmental disabilities. They are looking for qualified, motivated, energetic, and creative professionals to work with children in family homes, implementing personalized, family-focused treatment programs using a Routines-Based Parent Coaching Model to help children reach developmental milestones. The role involves home visits within the specified High Desert areas, with an effort to center caseloads around preferred locations. Programming is primarily in client homes, but virtual sessions may be necessary due to illness or special circumstances, leading to a potential mix of in-person and virtual services.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required (Child Development, Psychology, or related field)
- Solid knowledge of basic stages of Infant / Toddler Child Development
- Minimum of 1-year experience working with children 0-5 years
- Hold a valid Driver's License
- Have reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various home-based sites throughout the day (within 30 mile radius)
- Maintain current Vehicle Insurance & Registration
- Maintain current CPR Certification (Infant, Child & Adult)
- Have current TB
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with Children with Special Needs is preferred
- Ability to speak and read fluently in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin is desired
