About The Position

Young Interventions, Inc. is seeking an Early Intervention Specialist in Riverside County, specifically in the Indio, Palm Desert, La Quinta, Coachella, and surrounding Low Desert areas. This position can be either part-time or full-time, requiring at least 20 client hours per week plus travel time between sessions. The organization's mission is to improve the quality of life for infants and toddlers with or at risk of developmental disabilities. The role involves working with children in family homes to implement personalized, family-focused treatment programs using a Routines-Based Parent Coaching Model to help children reach developmental milestones. The position requires driving to home visits, with caseloads centered around preferred locations when possible. While most programming is in client homes, virtual sessions may be necessary due to illness or special circumstances, resulting in a potential mix of in-person and virtual services.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree required (Child Development, Psychology, or related field)
Solid knowledge of basic stages of Infant / Toddler Child Development
Minimum of 1-year experience working with children 0-5 years
Hold a valid Driver's License
Have reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various home-based sites throughout the day (within 30 mile radius)
Maintain current Vehicle Insurance & Registration
Maintain current CPR Certification (Infant, Child & Adult)
Have current TB

Nice To Haves

Experience working with Children with Special Needs is preferred
Ability to speak and read fluently in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin is desired
