About The Position

At Tutor Me Education, we connect passionate educators with neurodivergent students for high-impact, 1:1 in-home tutoring. As an In-Home Special Education Tutor, you'll deliver personalized academic instruction, socio-emotional support, and patient behavioral guidance aligned to each student's learning style and IEP goals — right in their home. This is a flexible, part-time W-2 employee role. Start with one student (~2–10 hrs/week) and take on additional students whenever you'd like to grow your hours and income.

Requirements

AA, BA, or higher (Special Education, Psychology, or Education preferred)
Hands-on experience supporting students with special needs or learning differences (e.g., ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia) — currently enrolled college students with this experience are encouraged to apply
Empathy, patience, and a student-first approach
Reliable vehicle for local travel to client homes
Ability to pass a background check
Able to commit to a student for the full school year. Consistency is central to a student's IEP progress, so we're looking for tutors who can build a lasting relationship rather than a short-term fill-in.

Responsibilities

Lead engaging 1:1 sessions tailored to students with diverse learning needs
Implement creative lesson plans aligned to each student's IEP goals (full resources and support from our team)
Adapt academic materials to each student's unique learning profile
Track progress after each session and keep open, empathetic communication with parents and guardians
Foster a safe, inclusive environment that builds confidence and resilience
