About The Position

Works in partnership with families to identify needs and issues, provides service linkages, coordinates services, and advocates for families with eligible children birth to three. Coordinates the development of an individualized family service plan, ensures that the plan is implemented as written and reviews the plan according to state/federal requirements or as often as needed. Monitors the programs and supports with the team to assess progress and recommendations for future programming. Ensures the rights of individuals and families in accordance with federal, state, and local statutes and regulations are not violated. Obtains needed or requested services as appropriate and removes barriers to meet identified needs. Enables families to become advocates for their children. Coordinates transitions to other programs and services.

Requirements

  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree to meet Ohio Department of Early Intervention Credentialing requirements.
  • Meet or be eligible for necessary certification requirements.
  • Valid OH Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to transport self.
  • Must be able to maintain insurability as required by Board policy.
  • Able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 50lbs.
  • DODD Early Intervention Service Coordinator certification.
  • Willingness to meet certification/registration standards as applicable.

  • Experience working with families with young (0-6) children with and without disabilities.
