About The Position

The Early Intervention Physical Therapist provides services to families with children from birth to age 3 who have developmental delays or are at risk for developmental delays. Early intervention focuses on educating, training, and supporting families to help children learn and grow. Services are provided in families’ homes, at early intervention centers, and in the community. The position works as part of a trans-disciplinary team and includes home-based services across the catchment area, family coaching, collaboration with community providers, and service coordination for an assigned caseload. Full-time, part-time, and fee-for-service positions are available.

Requirements

Current licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Allied Professional Health.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Adobe, and Office365, including Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams.
Ability to use computer-based technology, including a computer or laptop and cell phone.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Two years of pediatric experience preferred.
Bilingual/Bicultural candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of all areas of infant-toddler development.
Use a parent coaching model when working with families.
Participate in screenings, assessments, child groups, parent groups, center visits, and home visits as a member of a trans-disciplinary team.
Provide home-based services to families across the catchment area.
Collaborate with community providers, including child care providers, medical providers, social service agencies, and specialty providers serving children with autism or hearing or vision loss, to ensure continuity of services for families.
Provide service coordination to an assigned caseload, including coordinating the development, monitoring, and review of the Individual Family Service Plan.
