About The Position

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Key Account Manager for Johnson & Johnson MedTech, Orthopaedics Early Intervention located in the Northeast US. The Key Account Manager will be responsible for executing the Early Intervention strategy and leading relationship management within the specific geographically focused market. This responsibility includes pricing and contracting, data-driven decision-making, and gross profit performance. The Key Account Manger coordinates and influences strategic planning with Early Intervention leadership and internal J&J business partners including Marketing and Market Access & Pricing. This position will report into the Area Sales Director and will be based in the Northeast US.

Requirements

  • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree required.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in Pharmaceutical sales or Key Account Management.
  • Solid understanding of the U.S. healthcare market, including industry trends, customer dynamics, legal and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in successful customer negotiations where all business objectives were met or exceeded.
  • Strategic thinking skills (problem solving skills in complex negotiations).
  • Experience developing strategic contracting proposals and successfully executing customer negotiations.
  • Financial acumen, with an understanding of gross profit, erosion, pricing impact, inventory management.
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed environment and influencing across multiple stakeholder groups with an enterprise mindset.
  • Collaborative style, ability to process multiple, complex and often conflicting inputs to build an executable contract strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Highly effective communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage through constructive conflict.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Must live within the assigned geography.

Responsibilities

  • Manage key accounts: Develop & maintain relationships with key healthcare clients, including hospitals, clinics, GPOs, IDNs, and HCPs.
  • Sales strategy: Collaborate with the FSO to develop & implement tailored sales strategies for key accounts, ensuring revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Sales & business development: Identify new business opportunities and provide visibility to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Customer support: Serve as the primary point of contact for administrative personnel at key accounts.
  • Market insights: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to provide valuable insights and stay ahead of competition.
  • Account performance: Manage account performance by monitoring contract compliance and performance, as well as conducting routine business reviews with key customers.
  • Contract negotiations: Participate/lead negotiations of contracts and pricing agreements with key accounts.
  • Compliance & regulations: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, standards, and company policies for all activities involving products & services.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with FSO, Marketing, Market Access & Pricing, and other departments to ensure seamless account management and customer satisfaction.
  • Account retention: Focus on building customer loyalty through exceptional service and ensuring the long-term success of the partnership.
