About The Position
The Early Head Start Teacher uses the center’s indoor and outdoor environments to create rich learning opportunities that build on daily routines and support each child’s individual development. The teacher intentionally fosters bonds of care and attention so infants and toddlers can learn and develop appropriately.
Requirements
- Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA), or an associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education; or an associate or bachelor’s degree in any field and willingness to obtain an Emphasis on Infant and Toddler Development certificate.
- Willingness to complete the 1–2 week certificate training course provided by the organization, if applicable.
Responsibilities
- Use indoor and outdoor environments to create learning opportunities based on daily routines.
- Support each child’s individual development.
- Build caring, attentive relationships with infants and toddlers to support their learning and development.
