About The Position

At Alliance Center for Education, we are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and support to children, families, and staff. Our Early Head Start program is designed to ensure a nurturing, developmentally appropriate, and culturally responsive learning environment for infants and toddlers. We are currently seeking an Early Head Start Infant/Toddler Coach to join our team and support the continuous improvement of our infant/toddler classrooms and home-visiting programs. The Early Head Start Infant/Toddler Coach is responsible for coaching and supporting teachers and home visitors to maintain a high-quality learning environment. This role includes providing technical assistance, professional development, and training to ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and AC4Ed policies. The coach will play a critical role in improving teaching practices and promoting positive outcomes for children and families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of Head Start policies, licensing requirements, and performance standards.
  • Strong coaching, training, and leadership skills with the ability to analyze data and drive continuous improvement.
  • Must maintain CLASS Reliable Assessor certification.
  • A valid driver’s license and daily access to a vehicle.
  • Must pass an annual physical, TB screening, and random drug screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Establish collaborative coaching relationships with teachers and home visitors.
  • Conduct focused classroom observations, provide feedback, and support professional development.
  • Assist in implementing program fidelity in alignment with Head Start goals, CLASS, and EHS objectives.
  • Support data collection efforts to assess teacher growth and coaching effectiveness.
  • Conduct classroom assessments and provide feedback on curriculum implementation, classroom management, and behavior strategies.
  • Support teachers in developing strategies for a developmentally appropriate learning environment.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops to enhance staff skills and best practices.
  • Conduct CLASS observations twice a year and monitoring visits three times a year.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating family engagement activities.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold AC4Ed’s mission and values in all interactions.
