The Head Start Programs Teacher (Early Head Start) role is a full-time, non-exempt position responsible for implementing a child development program for children aged birth to three years. This role involves actively advocating for and demonstrating appropriate adult-child interactions, assessing child progress and needs, and adapting the environment and curriculum to meet diverse needs. The teacher will follow health, nutrition, and safety guidelines, maintain professional standards, and implement positive behavior management techniques. Additionally, the position requires partnering with families through home visits, conferences, and communication, as well as assisting in accomplishing program objectives by following the program plan and Head Start Performance Standards. The role also involves promoting staff development by attending training and engaging with volunteers, and ensuring the provision and assurance of services by maintaining appropriate work attire, attending mandatory trainings, ensuring confidentiality, and representing the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa professionally in the community.
