About The Position

Bright Horizons is hiring a full-time Early Childhood Teacher to work with infants at an early education/preschool child care center in the Wilmington, Delaware area. The teacher provides supervision, care, curriculum delivery, and services in accordance with Bright Horizons policies, procedures, and guidance, and applicable laws and regulations. The role is performed in person and includes supporting classrooms or age groups where coverage is needed across the center or nearby locations.

The position offers opportunities to learn from early education experts and pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost through the Horizons CDA & Degree Program. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The hourly pay range is $19.00 to $23.20, with actual offers depending on factors including experience, education, training, certifications, geography, and other relevant factors.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have college-level coursework in early childhood education, a CDA, or an associate or bachelor's degree in early education or a related field.
• Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children.
• Pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements.

Nice To Haves

• One year of professional teaching experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create hands-on activities that meet the needs and interests of children.
• Maintain open communication with parents and share their child's daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Provide teaching coverage in any classroom or age group where needed across a center or nearby locations.
• Provide child supervision, care, and curriculum delivery in accordance with Bright Horizons policies, procedures, and guidance.
