About The Position

This position supports the mission and vision of Mountain Springs Church (MSC) by providing support and strategic leadership on the MSCKids team. The ideal candidate will be detail-focused, creative and enjoy working within an entrepreneurial team environment that is mission-driven, people-oriented, and fast-paced. The MSCKids Early Childhood Coordinator must possess the ability to exercise clear judgment in a variety of situations, have strong written and verbal communication, administrative, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The MSCKids Coordinator will have the ability to work independently on projects from conception to completion and must be able to work under pressure to handle a wide variety of activities. The ideal candidate must have a ministry calling and have the ability to juggle multiple projects while overseeing a team of leaders.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of administrative support experience
  • Developed and honed communication skills and interpersonal awareness
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize decisions
  • Sensitive and skilled in dealing with differing behaviors, feelings and values
  • Appropriate awareness of privacy of sensitive and confidential information
  • Enjoy working collaboratively with a staff team
  • Recognizes own limits and embraces the expertise of other staff
  • Ability to work with Data Base Administration
  • Adequate transportation to complete job responsibilities in a timely manner
  • Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking/sitting
  • Manual dexterity and mobility

Responsibilities

  • Manage all forms of correspondence including voicemail, e-mail, and regular mail.
  • Provide strategic leadership to include speaking responsibilities, service planning and scheduling, and managing volunteer teams within Nursery and Early Childhood.
  • Partner with MSCKids Pastor to recruit, build, equip, and lead teams of leaders who will support and develop MSCKids.
  • Manage and communicate with Nursery and Early Childhood serve teams.
  • Provide significant input and leadership in the planning and execution of MSCKids events (Summer Adventure, Family Nights, Child Dedications, etc.).
  • Be a team player in MSCKids willing to speak into all aspects of the ministry to include Nursery, Early Childhood, and Elementary as requested by MSCKids Pastor.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
