About The Position

Kid Kare & Infant Center is seeking a PRN Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join their warm, energetic, and highly collaborative team. This role is for individuals who thrive in a playful, creative, and nurturing environment and enjoy helping young children explore, learn, and grow. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Completion of Montana state-required early childhood training within 6 months of hire
  • Completion of STARS Assistant Teacher training within 12 months
  • CPR/AED certified or able to obtain within 30 days (training provided)
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
  • Genuine love for working with young children
  • PRN Assistant Teachers must be available for a minimum of 25 hours per week

  • Associate’s degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education preferred

Responsibilities

  • Create a Safe, Engaging Environment: Maintain hazard-free play and learning areas, promote cleanliness, health, and safety standards, and set up age-appropriate activities that spark curiosity and imagination.
  • Support & Supervise Children: Ensure safety and emotional well-being at all times, and guide children through play, routines, and learning experiences.
  • Encourage Lifelong Healthy Habits: Model and support positive habits around nutrition, exercise, and safety.
  • Be a Collaborative Team Member: Partner with teachers and staff to plan activities and support classrooms, and mentor new staff and contribute to a positive workplace environment.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with documentation, attendance tracking, and daily reports.
  • Celebrate Diversity: Respect and value each child’s background, abilities, and culture.
