Early Childhood Aide: Peninsula Campus (Full-time)
About The Position
Heritage Classical Academy is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Aide for a 5-day class at their Peninsula Pike Campus. The role involves supporting the Lead Teacher in caring for and educating preschool-aged children, fostering their spiritual, mental, physical, and social growth. The aide will help create an orderly classroom environment with routines for play, rest, and learning, encouraging children's sense of wonder. Responsibilities also include maintaining classroom neatness and performing assigned support duties such as monitoring lunch, recess, and before/after care.
Requirements
- Fully support HCA’s Statement of Faith
- Have a vibrant Christian testimony demonstrating a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- Love children, displaying a passion to point them to their need for Christ
- Experience with preschool aged children
- Strong communication
- Strong organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Conduct oneself with Christ-like professional behavior
- Assist the Lead Teacher in lovingly caring for and teaching children
- Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing lessons that target the spiritual, mental, physical, and social growth of students
- Assist the Lead Teacher in fostering an orderly classroom environment, creating regular routines of play, rest, physical activity, and formal learning
- Assist the Lead Teacher in encouraging the sense of wonder in children as they learn
- Maintain a neat and orderly classroom
- Perform support duties as assigned, e.g. monitor lunch, recess, before care/after care
